NOTICE OF PROPOSED BUDGET HEARING
BIG BEND GROUNDWATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT NO.5
The Board of Directors of the Big Bend Groundwater Management District No. Five do now give notice of the public hearing on the proposed budget for 2009. The hearing will be on Thursday July 10, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. at the District office, 125 S. Main St., Stafford, Kansas. At this time, the following proposed budget will be submitted to the eligible voters of the district.

injection of salt water into the Lansing-Kansas City Formation in AA Redetzke well #7, located in W/2 NW/4 of NE/4 of section 19, T 16, Range 11 West, Barton County, Kansas, for Enhanced Recofery by Waterflood.

Unleased Mineral Interest Owners, Landowners, and all Persons concerned.
You, and each of you, are hereby notified that John J. Darrah, Jr. has filed and application to inject water into the above described well.
Any persons who object to or protest this application must file their objections or protests with the Conservation Division of the State Corporation Commission within fifteen (15) days from the date of the publication. These protests shall be filed pursuant to Commission regulations and must state specific reasons why the grant of the application may cause waste, violate correlative rights or pollute natural resources of the state. If no protests are received, this application may be granted through a summary proceeding. If valid protests are received, this matter will be set for hearing. All persons interested or concerned shall take notice of the foregoing and shall govern themselves accordingly.
Protests may be filed by any party having a valid interest in the application. Petitions for protests shall be in writing and shall clearly identify the name and address of the protestant and the title of the application. The petition shall include a clear and concise statement of the direct and substantial interest of the protestant in the proceedings, including the manner in which the protestant may be affected, and the nature, extent, character and grounds of the protest.
